This is my very first post on IH. I have been lurking here for a while now. Firstly, it's just amazing how positive the IH community is. Kudos to you all.
A bit about myself - I am an Indian living in Berlin. I have 9 years of product management experience. In my last role at Zalando, Europe's one of biggest fashion eCommerce companies, I led a 14-member senior engineering team and a 2-member senior design team to build various solutions for 45 million daily active customers. Prior to that, I had my own bootstrapped venture that was shut down after 2 years in operation.
I recently quit Zalando to focus on doing things on my own. My main goal is to diversify my income sources by the end of next year. I want to build at least 3 different income sources. My strength is story-telling be it in writing or making videos. And I am starting with writing.
I have just started my publication on Medium which focuses on bringing out the stories of founders. Usually, we have TechCrunch (for global), YourStory (for India), Sifted(for Europe), and TechinAsia (for Asia). But most of these focus on stories of founders who raise millions of dollars if not less.
I, on the other hand, want to focus on solopreneurs, folks who are working on their side projects or startups who haven't yet raised millions of dollars but have a small considerable revenue. I want to highlight their stories, the behind-the-scenes, their struggles, the problems they are solving, etc. This will help them to put their product out on the market and gain some traction (I will be marketing these articles) early on.
