Looking for Tech Co-Founder for Saas Product with email list of 40k potential customers.
I need a CTO to join me building a Saas product. It targets Airbnb owners who do not have their own website and makes it super easy for them to make a website with direct booking facilities. Essentially, like SquareSpace or Shopify but for Airbnb owners.
The travel industry, is an area I have a lot of experience in. I previously ran an Airbnb business and sold it on for 400% ROI and before that I ran a hostel which I grew to profitability in just 3 months..
I am a marketer and I need a co-founder. Someone on the product/tech side of things.
The minimal viable product could actually be very simple (I am sure you will have some comments on this), but it could be a WP multisite, with all the clients sites as separate child sites. I plan to use as many plugins and themes as possible to simplify the setup of the MVP and reduce the development time.
I have an email list of 40k airbnb owners so this should provide for perfect early customers and feedback on the MVP.
Is anyone interested on working on this product with me?

Before asking for a Co-founder and waiving a list of emails as potential clients you should do a proper idea validation.
A simple landing page or even direct emails to a random sample should be able to gauge how many of those owners really are about more visibility than the one provided by AirBnb.

I agree that you should send. some emails to see if your list actually would have an interest in such a solution.
What problem are you solving?
Problem is Airbnb owners' reliance on the airbnb platform and lack of ownership of their own booking channel and marketing. By having a website they can accept direct bookings saving airbnb's aprox 15% commision and control over their property's success. Plus it allows them to directly market their property offline and online.
Yeah - my gut feeling was that anyone can build a website for their AirBnB spot, pretty easily too. I would want to know what the "unfair advantage" is here....
Not really with a booking system build in and linking up/syncing with Airbnb and Booking.com. It is certainly quite a challenge, I know because I previously did it.

Getting a tech cofounder is easy (so many already interested :-)).
BUT you need to validate a few things:

Great questions, I love them. I have done quite a bit of questioning around them... Obviously could still validate more but I think this is an ongoing process.
Agreed, this is an ongoing process. I usually like to set up a qualifying metric beforehand, something straightforward - eg if 50 people say they want to do X in Y dollars, I will start building.
In your case, you probably are beyond that stage.

Nice idea, make a simple coming soon page and see if people on your list are interested in this.
Take a look at WPMU https://premium.wpmudev.org/ , they have all the themes and plugins you will need for site creation, multi site management, themes and more. there are a couple of very nice booking plugin on code canyon which can handle booking and need to be connected to Airbnb.

Done some in person interviews with Airbnb owners and also phone calls. I suffered the same problem this will solve. I really want to test the assumption of people paying for an MVP of the product.
