Looking for testers who run or want to get into it

Hi everyone, my friend Elie and I were frustrated with options available to stay motivated while running and decided to create something better: Herd.

We worked with running coaches to create guided workouts with instructions on pace, motivation tips, all over engaging music.

We just launched on iOS and Android and are looking for beta testers.

Would love to get your feedback! Try it here tryherd.com

Hey there - I’m a fairly avid runner myself. I’ll check it out next time I’m going for a longer run. Looking at the landing page one piece of feedback I’ll offer is that it’s not clear to me whether the app offers anything interesting for my running level.

Would be informative to see how your app / guides differ for runners at different levels (maybe using frequency and distance as a reference?). What sort of goals would it help me accomplish (shave time off my 10k? Get me trained for a half marathon in x weeks? Etc)

Also what’s the niche? There’s a good amount of apps out there for runners, maybe if you focused on a certain segment of runners and really understand their needs you could carve out a foot hold?

Just some initial thoughts, will provide more if I have a chance to use it!

This is great feedback thank you so much!

Agree we need to be more clear on the value proposition and goals it helps users achieve.

Completely agree with you on finding a niche. We've identified 4 user segments and created workouts for them.
      Targeting 25-50yo, primarily women

      1. inactive people: goal is getting into running
      2. active, no running: goal is getting into running
      3. active, some running: goal is run more frequently/longer/faster
      4. active, competitive: goal is run longer/faster

The hope is by launching early and putting the word out there we'll get a better understanding of what segment benefits most from Herd and zero in on their needs. For now though, we feel the motivation problem impacts all runners.

Can you think of other strategies to identify that niche?

      Thanks again!
