Im currently looking to acquire beta testers for my saas(https://www.retimo.co), and the way to go about that is by being scrappy I know, but I've currently tried:
Guest blogging(writing content on high traffic site)
Saas partnership(giving away accounts to users of b2b companies in a diff vertical)
And so far I've not had a positive response, just need tips on a channel to try apart from ads(I consider them expensive and don't have that kind of revenue stream yet.).
Any tips,
Or any one interested in me guest blogging on their sites? sample blog post(https://medium.com/@smithmayowa/a-roller-coaster-of-emotions-yc-startup-school-2018-bcbb86853a7b) I've written for an earlier Saas(that also sadly went nowhere)
Or in any sort of partnership?
Hmm an interesting challenge. I'd think that you would need to find saas products with active communities if you're going to try and find people to pay for feature updates.
Perhaps looking around reddit, twitter, indiehackers, youtube, to find products with small sizes and large engagement. Maybe those with an active enough discord group if they're using one?
Hmm so the idea is tricky to sell, how to search for these groups though?
Perhaps to start you could search for startup founders on twitter, go to the companies they are running, and then manually scan the communities they are on/run to see if there is engagement. Fairly manual but could be a good way to gauge if their community is active.
Okay thanks, this makes sense will try it out asap.
