Looking to build a team for a Computer vision/A.I. startup

Hi,
I'm Renan, my startup (https://comvista.ai/) is based in Florida. We use video cameras and A.I. to collect data from the jobsite of construction companies to improve the productivity. Right now I'm a solo-founder with skills in Civil Engineering, Data Science and ML, but still lacking some other technical skills to develop and deploy the MVP by my own and I would prefer to start to focus in the sales, customers adquisition and look for investors as a CEO. Last week someone already started to help me with the MVP, but I'm looking to build a team to move faster.

At this moment I can only give you equity in exchange.

Whqt people are you looking for? Devs? If so what sort? People with AI/ML knowledge?

Yes, I'm looking mostly for Devs with AI/ML knowledge. Someone who could build the MVP using a "Nvidia Jetson Nano" that I just bought, so you would be able to connect remotly to it to deploy the code, and I've seen that with a cloud service like "Azure IoT" you could deploy the full solution.

Ok interesting. So your target is embedded and on premise? Multi-Cam-System?
Where you basically run some object detector / tracking and potential action recognition?

Well I don't think deployment is the real hard bit here and in this case before going down AzureIoT I really would have a look at nVidia's Deepstream since you are already on Jetson that is supported. It also integrates a lot of stuff already so potentially you only really have to get your custom DL models in there.

If you need help on creating models / training and potential data gathering/acquisition that would be more my area of expertise.

Thank, yes that is exactly what I want, embedded and on premise, it would be cool if it's multi-camera system running some object detector / tracking and potential action recognition.

Yes, I've seen something about "Nvidia Deepstream" integrated with AzureIoT, and ok, if you think it shouldn't be hard I'll try it these days.

Yeah, very appreciated, do you have contact info?

Very interesting project. Was curious, What problem would this solve in a contruction site? And is that problem one of the top 3 problems contruction owners/managers have?

    1. 1

In a construction site: It can be used to improve the productivity, in a construction site happens multiples activities at the same time, and that information/data is collected by pen and paper and later entered manually in a spreadsheet for reports and it's never used again, there no exist such a thing like bigdata in the construction industry, and you know how valuable bigdata it's for every industry these days.

For the construction owner: These can save money to the construction owner by making data driven decision at the end of the week or month with the report generated automatically by the software.

For managers: It can know what activities need more attention at that moment, since the software will be able to send alerts/notifications in real time.

Yeah, I also thought about the drone at the beginning. It can be implemented as well depending on the customer requirement.
Yes, I have to clean the website, thanks for your feedback.
