Looking To Get Started With Website Investments...

Hi Everyone!

I am a student and I am looking to get started with website investing. I have subscribed to and read blogs distributed on IH but I am still looking for a more of a "textbook" resource to better learn this type of alternative investing.

Are there any resources you can recommend or am I looking for something that doesn't exist?

I'm doing a 30 part series on Flippa on how to invest in websites https://flippa.com/blog/how-to-invest-in-websites-1/ - not academic but detailed

      Thanks, Mike!

@kbailas let me know if you have any questions, happy to help.

I also started a new course on the topic, it's not done yet but if you want to you can get early access here and provide feedback along the way:

Take a look at the blogs of FE International, Website Properties, Micro Acquire and Empire Builders

    Hey Kbailas,

I actually just posted this in another thread, but you may want to listen to our podcast The Web Equity Show Season 2. We do those shows in "Seasons" so they cover A to Z on the concept of buying websites and online businesses in general.

    https://empireflippers.com/analyzing-websites-for-beginners/

You can check out there, and should lead you to some good stuff.

I'm the head of marketing over at Empire Flippers, so if you got a burning question feel free to shoot me a message - maybe it'll even get turned into a Youtube video :-)

Investing into online businesses can the best and most aggressive ROI you ever get, but do keep in mind it is volatile and you shouldn't be going "all in" with money you couldn't stand to lose.

If you're just starting out, I recommend looking at your budget then dividing it into thirds. That way you can stay in the game longer in case your first business you buy flops for whatever reason.

I did a video that explains more high level fundamental skills (least what I consider fundamental skills) that a buyer should have and consider before they purchase an online business as well that might help you out:

Good luck on the journey, it can be an amazing ride when you treat it like a business. Just keep in mind it's active investing at the end of the day so will definitely take more work, but with that more work can come awesome rewards :-)
