Looking to help out those starting ✌️

Hey y'all,

I just launched a landing page over at https://leftback.club with the aim of helping product designers or makers on their journey.

It's partly to give back as so many have for me in the past. :)

Would appreciate your thoughts and feedback on the concept or landing page too!

Amazing concept, so good of you to do this for the community!

Are you going to handpick people? The reason for asking is that some people might use their corporate profiles and take advantage not sure if you are worried about this?

The only thing on the page that got me a bit was the part "What can I help with?"
The icons popup but don't do anything, got me a bit confused.

I would also make sure to monetize this, of course the free start is amazing, but think about how to make money eventually.

Perhaps you could have a look at my concept:
A blog with daily dev tips, want to keep it super plain and fast but any ideas are welcome:

Yeah, I think at some point I will monetise, however for now in these times it's just to help people get a start or advice on something they're working on.

Doesn't mean it cannot be monetised at some point :)

I love it. I too am a designer and coder. So I can relate.

My thoughts. It’s good, but if you want radical candor here it is.

I like the button scrolled down. I wanted to skip the text because it was too long, but forced myself to read it.

I think the premise is cool. I almost would rather see you charge though. You doing it for free doesn’t make too much sense to me and devalues the offering a bit. At least it doesn’t give me a sense of urgency. If you said 5-10 min free then if you want more product consultation and feedback then you can upgrade using a gold pack which gives you 30 min per well for $5.99 per month or something.

Then I’d more likely want to try the free 10 min and see if there is value there.

I don’t know your endgame, but those are just my thoughts. I think it’s a cool site and very direct.

My product that I’m working on is https://storycreatorapp.com it’s an online video editor. Would also love radical feedback.

    Cheers

It's good concept. I have thought of doing something like this for a slightly different audience (those in the feeling stuck in their dev career trying to figure out what's next). Have you tried any platforms to offer mentoring/coaching?

P.S. the landing page looks good to me (I am not a designer though), maybe a little less white space between the section and move the CTA of email box a bit higher?
