This story is about Johnny Situ. His property business crumbled - then he started indie hacking. Today he run PigeonForm as a side gig.

  • Launched August 2024
  • Currently at 20 users

Johnny Situ, 38, a North Carolina-based indie hacker, is the founder of PigeonForm — a tool for designing beautiful, easy-to-use forms with no coding required. But his journey to entrepreneurship began in hardship.

Originally from China, Johnny moved to the U.S. in 2009 with just $1,000. He gradually built a multi-million dollar real estate portfolio but became overconfident, taking on high-risk investments and trading modesty for ego. When the U.S. economy shifted, his entire empire crumbled.

In the aftermath, Johnny found clarity in simple things—family, peace, and meaningful work. Inspired by Ryan Holiday’s book "Ego is the Enemy", he let go of destructive habits and embraced a fresh start.

In 2024, he launched PigeonForm, focusing not on quick profit but genuine customer relationships. By directly messaging potential users, he’s building an engaged community and learning their needs.

Today, Johnny has a growing base of 20 users and a renewed sense of purpose, planning a premium version of PigeonForm for the future.
