Lots of cross-product development, why not collaborate
Wading through posts here I find there are many folks cross developing a lot of products (similar product, slightly different feature set, or identical feature set). Would it make sense to team up and join forces? Why would one not do that? How would you approach it?

Based on my own experience it is exceedingly difficult assembling a team and then getting everyone to commit to it. If you are already established, $$$ or brand recognition will do this for you. Most of the solopreneurs on IH are far from established and nearly everyone has a hard enough time committing to their own ‘next killer app’, so they are very reluctant to sign up for someone else’s idea.
By teaming up with other people, you may start to become more dependent on others which kind of defeats the purpose of indie hacking for many. When you are building something on the side by yourself, you have the luxury to work whenever you want and take breaks whenever you want without feeling guilty or creating conflicts with another person.
