This story is about Louis Pereira. He shared his journey growing AudioPen.

  • Launched March 2023
  • Current MRR $12-15K

Louis Pereira, a 31-year-old from Goa, India, manages his family’s retail business by day but spends his nights creating digital products. His main project, AudioPen, is an AI-powered voice-to-text tool designed to turn unstructured thoughts into clear, shareable text.

Launched in March 2023, AudioPen quickly attracted users. Louis, who built AudioPen in public on X, reached 100 paying customers within two days thanks to his 10k+ followers. The tool now generates $12-15K monthly revenue, with a one-time annual subscription of $99.

Though AudioPen’s growth has largely been organic, Louis experimented briefly with paid TikTok influencer marketing. Unfortunately, it was an expensive misstep, costing $7,000 with no notable traffic boost. Now, he relies on word of mouth while focusing on product development over marketing, confident that improvements will naturally attract more users.

Despite being a one-man team, Louis is excited about AudioPen's progress and looks forward to dedicating time to marketing as the product matures.
