M&A News Alerts
Anyone here familiar with the M&A world? In my time doing investment banking I realized that lots of IB and Private Equity (and beyond) folks like to know about deals for specific companies as soon as they happen. What do you think of an automated news alert service that sends an email link to people for any business combination involving a company on a pre-approved list? I'm looking for thoughts on demand and viability. Thanks!
I realize you posted this a long time ago, but felt the need to respond since I currently work in IB.
Many of these types of lists already exist. I suppose the difference here is that they would be for specific companies only, I believe you can set up alerts for these types of things using Pitchbook (maybe FactSet as well).
The fact that its a feature on a platform that's pretty inaccessible to the average person might give you a niche to target though.
