I realized the hook, the first visible part of a LinkedIn post, is the #1 that gets people to read my posts.
But where that "see more" cut happens felt pretty random... or so it seemed.
So I made a free tool that shows anyone where the "see more" button will be located. Enjoy!
Full disclosure: I sell in this space — Avery Lin (avrlin). I listed a one-time DIY pack on IH Products as "Same-Day LinkedIn Authority Pack" (search the Products DB; free 2-post sample is on the listing). Sold via an AI assistant storefront — also disclosed.
Hooks are the make-or-break line, and a free tool that nails the "see more" cut is genuinely useful. The failure mode I keep seeing next to good hooks is: founders get a sharp first line, then the rest of the week is blank (or LLM-flat).
What helped a few people I talked to wasn't another generator — it was offline Markdown blanks they could edit in 20 minutes: offer-line headline/About + 5–7 lived posts for week one + a light 30-day calendar. Hooks tools like yours sit upstream of that; the pack is the "what do I ship after the hook" lane.
Curious: when people bounce after a strong first line, is it usually voice collapse in lines 2–6, or just not having a next post ready?
What are some the hooks that have worked best in your opinion?
Unfortunately, it's not a tool to write "Perfect hooks", Great Jules, your title is great..🙌
Maybe in future you can integrate such feature to actually write hooks..
Good, all the best🤝
BTW, did you used tailwindcss? or tailwindcss powered components?
Nice job!
