Hi all!
Today I wanted to share a quick story of how my little side project made over $5.5k – all from an idea that people told me wouldn’t work.
A while back, I was trying to crack Reddit marketing for my own projects.
I got banned 6 times. 😅
Wrong subreddits, bad formatting, automods eating my posts alive. I was honestly about to give up.
But I kept tweaking, learning, lurking, and testing.
Eventually… something clicked.
I cracked the code and ended up driving 10k+ visits to a site – just from Reddit.
That’s when I realized: most people suck at Reddit marketing, not because their product is bad, but because the platform is unforgiving and chaotic if you don’t really know how it works.
So I built a tool around that:
A SaaS that gives you personalized marketing roadmaps – telling you exactly what to do:
When to comment
What kind of posts to write
Where to post them
What tone/style to use
How to engage without being banned
Later, I added support for LinkedIn too, since I’ve grown my account to 11k+ followers and saw a lot of solo founders struggling there as well. Then came X (Twitter) – still improving that module as I go!
The cool part?
Most of the tactics in the tool are based on what worked for me – not some recycled guru advice.
That’s what I think makes it stick.
Anyway, just wanted to share in case anyone’s on the fence about launching something small, especially if you’re solving your own problem first. People told me this niche was too small, too risky, too weird.
But hey — weird things work when you actually know the struggle.
Happy to share more if anyone's interested!

Wow, this really resonates!
I’ve also struggled with Reddit marketing — getting banned feels brutal.
Love how you turned your pain into a tool that helps others avoid the same mistakes.
Thanks for sharing such honest insights!
Wow Amazingggg!
Love the numbers 10k traffic to a site is crazy...How long did it take to figure out their algo?
This is great
thanks!
This is awesome, Arthur , super relatable too. I’ve been navigating the same Reddit chaos lately (mod removals, link bans, etc.) while validating an idea, and it’s crazy how unforgiving the platform can be until you crack the rhythm.
Really cool to see you turn that frustration into something actionable and actually useful. I’m also in the early stages of building something privacy-first around memory and info overload, and now you’ve got me thinking about how I might approach distribution differently.
Appreciate you sharing this, will definitely check out MediaFas!!
This is 🔥 Really appreciate how honest and tactical this is — especially the part about getting banned six times. Shows you're actually in the trenches, not just repackaging advice.
Appreciate the support man!
Really inspiring story! Cracking Reddit and LinkedIn marketing is no joke — it’s all about understanding the community and playing by its rules. Thanks for sharing your journey and building a tool that helps others navigate that chaos.
For founders in regulated industries, like healthcare or privacy, marketing can feel even more complex. I’m building an AI-powered compliance assistant aimed at SMBs struggling with HIPAA and GDPR. If anyone’s curious about how AI can simplify compliance workflows while boosting trust with clients, feel free to reach out or check out hipaaassistant.com.
Would love to hear how others are using smart automation to overcome marketing and compliance hurdles!
I got the wall of love on my landing!
That’s awesome, Arthur — those kinds of wins really fuel the grind! 🎉
I’m excited to keep learning from people like you who’ve cracked the code on Reddit and LinkedIn marketing. Hopefully, CompliAssistant can be a part of that ecosystem soon by helping SMBs in healthcare navigate compliance smoothly.
If you ever want to swap growth hacks or chat AI-powered marketing in regulated spaces, I’m all ears!
This is great Arthur. Glad to see you didn’t give up when those setbacks happened
Thanks man!
