I made something to scratch my itch. I do not plan to sell it or monetize it. I am not a twitter user but I wanted to be in know about some topics on twitter. So I made a Java service to search for keywords on twitter and email it to me everyday. When some of my friends asked me for it, I made a UI for it and hosted it. I named it dailytweetalerts.com
Just putting it here if anyone wants to use it. Its hosted on a cheap google cloud instance. Be gentle on it.
That's great! Making something to scratch your own itch is definitly the best approach to launch a project. Nothing more powerful when you want to solve your own problem and you know how to do it.
Nice, but can't we do this with IFTTT/Zapier?
Sure it can be done. This was for my friends who aren't tech savvy.
