MadeOnSol Month 3: $343 MRR, self-calculated market caps, and we stopped relying on third-party APIs
Hey everyone, mid-month 3 update on MadeOnSol — a Solana trading intelligence platform I'm building solo. Things moved fast this month.
—
Revenue
$343 MRR from 7 Pro subscribers at $49/month each. All paying in USDC on Solana. No Stripe, no credit cards.
Infrastructure costs: ~$144/month. That's $199/month profit. Went from break-even to nearly 2.4x my costs in about 3 weeks.
Also launched a Trader tier at $25/month — Telegram bot alerts for people who don't need the API. Lower barrier, bigger audience.
Every single customer found us organically. Zero outbound, zero ads.

Biggest ship this month: self-calculated market caps
This was a major infrastructure project. We now calculate every token price and market cap from our own gRPC streams — parsing on-chain balance diffs from every swap across 11 Solana DEXes in real-time.
No Dexscreener API. No Birdeye API. No third-party dependencies for pricing.
Why this matters: every KOL trade now shows the exact market cap at time of entry. Every deployer alert shows MC at launch. This unlocks entirely new analytics:
- What's a KOL's average entry MC? Do they buy micro-caps or mid-caps?
- When a KOL scout buys at $3K MC and followers pile in at $25K MC, how big is the spread?
- Which deployer tier produces the highest MC tokens?
- What MC range has the best risk/reward for copy trading?
None of this was possible when we relied on external price APIs. Now it's all internal data we own and control.
The technical approach: we use VWAP (Volume Weighted Average Price) over a 5-minute rolling window with outlier rejection for price stability. Supply is fetched via RPC on first trade and polled periodically for burn detection. Burns are also caught in real-time through our existing Token Program gRPC stream.

Other features shipped
- KOL Scout Leaderboard — ranks traders by how often their first buy on a token pulls in other KOLs within 4 hours. Top scout has a 52% swarm rate vs 14% baseline.
- First Touch KOL tracking — see who bought first and who followed
- Telegram Bot — real-time alerts for KOL buys, deployer launches, coordination signals. Free /digest for everyone, real-time from $25/mo.
- 50 new KOL wallets added — now tracking 1,050+
- Crossed 100,000 API calls served
—
Platform stats
- 17,000+ Pump.fun deployers profiled and scored
- 47,000+ alpha wallets scored from 1.1M+ buyer records
- 161,000+ human wallets indexed
- 1,063 Solana tools in the directory across 30 categories
- 287 guides published

SEO & AI search
- Google indexed pages: 7,652 (was 2,219 last month)
- Bing AI citations: 3,400+
- Domain rating: 3.3 with 92 backlinks from 70 referring domains
- ChatGPT, DuckDuckGo, Perplexity all sending traffic
- 70 referring domains — almost doubled from 46 without me actively building links. Other sites are linking to us organically.
The AI citation growth continues to be the most surprising channel. We didn't optimize for it. We just built detailed, structured content and AI search engines decided we're a reliable source.
—
API growth
- 108,000+ total API calls (was 22,000 last update)
- 1,553 calls/day
- 45 unique API users
- 86% of traffic from Pro subscribers — they're building production systems, not just testing
- Unauth scraper traffic: 0% (Cloudflare firewall rules working)

What's working
1. Self-calculated pricing is a moat. Nobody else combines self-sourced MC data with KOL intelligence and deployer scoring. It's all from our own infrastructure.
2. Telegram bot lowers the barrier. Not everyone needs an API. $25/month for alerts in Telegram converts a much wider audience.
3. Organic backlinks are compounding. 70 referring domains without active link building. Good content attracts links.
4. KOL Scout leaderboard is sticky. Traders check it daily to find the wallets worth following.
5. AI search keeps growing without effort. 3,400+ citations and counting.

What's next
- Chrome extension — overlay KOL and deployer data on Pump.fun, Axiom, GMGN, Dexscreener
- Candle data API — since we own price data, we can generate OHLCV candles
- MC-weighted KOL leaderboards — rank KOLs by performance at different MC ranges
- Annual pricing (2 months free)
- Smart Money Dashboard — paid website subscription for non-developers
- Partnership with Trade Router (verified Solana trading protocol) — our intelligence + their execution
