I have a mailing list large enough to be getting charged but I'm stuck with a 10% or less open rate. I don't feel like what I'm paying to have this service is bringing enough value.
I also believe some of the email addresses are SPAM. The first question is how do I get rid of the spam?
The second question is should I send out some sort of cleanout email, letting people know "to just unsubscribe if you are not interested."? *But not in so many words?
I'm not an expert on this at all, but I have noticed something in Mailchimp called an "engagement score". My assumption is this is some kind of algorithm representing individual open rates over time. I wonder if it's possible to sort by that, and then drop the 10% of addresses that are least engaged?
