Hi guys,
I’m just curious here...
What do you think would give you more conversions: an email list (newsletter) or a Facebook Group?
I’m aware the answer would probably depend on several factors but if you had one choice to make, solely for the purpose of converting prospects into paying customers of your service, which one would you choose and why?
Cheers
Always. Own. Your. Platform. Rented land is a liability.
I use Facebook groups fairly extensively but I would never ever ever use them as a primary sales channel, or even a secondary or tertiary option.
Direct conversion rates from social media to sales are also abysmally low, largely because people generally aren't in "buying mode" when they're on Facebook.
Email, on the other hand, still converts very well in spite of the "common knowledge" that everybody hates email.
What you’re saying makes sense.
I’m also under the impression that if my post doesn’t get a boost from FB’s algorithm it’s just not going to be seen.
The point is that with Facebook, you're not in control of who even gets a chance to see your posts. Facebook is.
With an email list, it's a much simpler contract between you and the recipient. You send valuable stuff, they don't mark it as spam. :)
