How would you make a website to present dozens/hundreds of tweets as examples of a trend/topic?
Let's say that topic/trend is: Customers complaining about Company X. I would find those tweets and aim to curate them, for presentation on a public site with a domain.
What are stack options for this?
I'm aware of methods for presenting Airtable bases as a directory site (eg. Pory, Table2Site). But what about tweets? What if I want to support filtering of views of those tweets?
Check out Softr.io - a no-code tool to create web-apps on Airtable, in 10 minutes. It supports membership, payments, listing with search, filtering and much more!
We have exactly a Twitter building block, which you just add to your page and fill out the links to tweets as links. Example can be seen on our page - https://www.softr.io/wall-of-love
Let me know if you need any help :)
Hi Mariam,
Okay, I see the Twitter Grid block.
So your way of adding and managing tweets is in the app itself, rather than through Airtable? I think this would make gathering tweets a bit harder, and geared more toward showing a handful for testimonials rather than making a large, constantly-updated wall.
That's one use case, the other use case is to collect all the tweets in Airtable (you can do that using Zapier and scrap tweets from Twitter to Airtable) and then displaying that list in your Softr.io web-page (as a listing).
Would that be a feasible solution?
I didn't see that in the app/feature list.
"you can do that using Zapier and scrap tweets from Twitter to Airtable"
So you would just store the tweet URL in Airtable, or you think something more extensive?
Yes, either storing the URLs ir if you want to show the entire tweet on the page, then the tweet text itself in Airtable.
How would I do the former with Airtable and Softr?
@RobertAndrews DM in Softr chat and we can figure smth out
Not sure if it's within your radar, have you tried https://walls.io/ ?
I did eventually find Walls, and Juicer. "Twitter walls". They're nice - but I'm not sure that they offer as much control as "I just want to add some arbitrary tweets easily" or "Just add my faved tweets". They're typically focused around either hashtags or profiles. There is some rudimentary manual addition/moderation.
We could add this capability to WeBase [1] as part of our $99/month plan! ;-)
I do think there is a lot of value in Tweets that is not being fully tapped currently.
Hit me if you want to chat more. Also... check out WeBase: https://www.webase.com
All the best,

FYI, I wouldn't be a viable customer for $99/49/pm. This is mostly an experimental, rather than revenue-generating, idea.
Funny you should ask, at Monitoro we do exactly that!
This website for example is built on Airtable + Pory + Monitoro, and is displaying a curated list of games. The data is extracted continuously from Nintendo's shop, synced into Airtable, and is then displayed by Pory as a website here:
https://switch.pory.app
Happy to provide you access once we support Twitter fully! Make sure to sign up to our Alpha if that's interesting to you.
So, what Pory theme are you thinking effectively displays tweets? Doesn't seem applicable.
Thanks.
The point was about Monitoro, that can extract data from any website, and send it to airtable.
That’s how you can get your tweets :)
