How do you make progress as an indie hacker when you don't have a lot of spare time or energy?
Right now, I'm starting a new job and finishing up some freelance work, so I don't have the time or energy to commit 100% to a side project.
But at the same time, some nights or weekends, I have the itch to hack around on something. What would you do in my situation? My goal is to set my self up well to launch a side project in ~6 months when I'm situated at work and done with my current freelance work.
One thing that I’ve found helpful is to build a habit of always getting out of bed as soon as I wake up. I then have permission to do whatever I want until I need to get ready for the day. Sometimes that means watching TV or even gaming. But when I’m itching to build something I can use that time to build.
I like that morning time because it has a natural end and starts to force some time boxing habits. I can’t sit and do whatever I want for how ever long I want.
Hope that helps.
