What are your thoughts on using platforms like appsumo, pitchground to get sales for products?
Did you ever try such platforms?
Thinking from a makers perspective selling SaaS at a low-cost LTD sound absolutely non-sense & nonprofitable to me.
Also, it attracts low-quality & high demanding customers.
- What more alternatives do we indie makers have?
- Is only promoting & marketing by self the only way to get spotlight on our products?
Hi Nikhil, these platforms can serve you as a point of initial users discovery like Product Hunt or Beta List, but with the extra of paid users validation, and as a way to earn revenue for a short period of time. But never as a sole growth strategy. Depending on your product and skills, you can use a different strategy: SEO, Social media, Advertising, Inbound Marketing, Sales-Led Growth, Product-Led Growth, Community-Led Growth...
