I wanted to ask how you cover the costs of freemium product but after seeing MRRs of your products I think I've answered that question myself :D Am I right?
Yeah! We have made changes to the free tier to control costs, though. First we removed SMS notifications from it (very expensive to send). Then we reduced the number of notifications you can receive to 10. Sending emails is not that expensive but it is an expense. And limiting the notifications limits the usefulness enough to prompt some people to upgrade.
wow that's interesting. I's an 'open-book' for me how to monetize my freemium apps. If your users had the choice to donate monthly (instead of subscription), do you think you could keep it freemium?
