Making a landing page that actually converts

I discovered days ago this youtube video entitled "Why Beautiful Websites Don’t Convert".
And noticed I wasn't applying basic but crucial sections on my landing page for my side project get-aboard.
Some mistakes I was making:

  • No reviews: Despite I launched my product two months ago on PH and received real reviews. I wasn't posting those reviews, if you want people trust you, is necessary to show some real world comments. So I added them.
  • Not clear message: I think this is the most important part on a landing page. A clear and concise message. People don't want to spend time discovering what is about your miraculous product. They want clear and concise sentences on what your product does. This part is 50/50 but I think that "Make job onboardings in minutes 🚀" works for now (maybe A/B testing).
  • Show some metrics: People trust metrics, e.g. the number of subscribers to a newsletter, the number of users, your rates on recommendation platforms. So I added my product hunt badge to the landing.

So after those mistakes I made changes on the landing. Check the results and leave me a comment if you have any advice.
