Hi Everyone,
I’m building HypeDesk — a marketing platform to help startups grow without ads, marketing budgets, or other expensive stuff. Given the current climate, I think it could be helpful for indie devs, small businesses, and maybe even bigger companies too.
Originally, it was mostly a list of 400+ static places like directories and communities to promote your project. But now I’m shifting the direction to make it more useful.
I just deployed a new type of marketing task HypeDesk suggests — Discussions.
The idea is simple: it crawls social networks and uses AI to find the most relevant discussions around your niche. You can jump into those threads or even treat them as leads and send a DM.
Right now, it supports Reddit, BlueSky, and Mastodon — with more platforms coming soon.
I’m also exploring the idea of crawling millions of RSS feeds to find the best free promo opportunities for every project. This feature is currently in development.
What do you think? Would you use it?
I haven’t finalized pricing yet, so for now I’m offering everything for a one-time payment — $49 for lifetime access.
At that price, I won’t get rich — but honestly, how much would you pay for a tool that finds 50–100 relevant promotion opportunities for your project every day?
The pairing of 'runs locally' + 'no API keys' is undervalued positioning. It speaks to the technical buyer who has already been burned by SaaS tools that changed pricing, added rate limits, or went down at the wrong moment.
The one-time purchase model makes sense when the tool does a defined job well. What's the job this tool does?
