Making a video to promote your product.

Just did a video myself this week: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pDe4p7Iw4VI - around 6 hours using SimpleScreenRecorder and Shotcut, including learning how to use them. I think that next time I can do it in 2 hours.

Does my non-native accent make it look bad? I don't know, you tell me. I do, however, know I cringe when I hear myself. But, by doing it myself I'm able to re-record parts of the video when a feature changes.

It was my first video, and I'm happy I did it (wanted to ask a pro friend to do it). I'm happy I learned the skill.

Here is how to do it:

• Interview your users, learn what they struggle with.
• Write a script addressing what you've learned.
• Record, watch, and learn from your mistakes.
• Record again, for real now.
  For every line of text in my script I first performed my mouse moves/clicks, and then read the line. Next I made the actions and voice overlap in Shotcut.

There are people who create a simple video on Fiverr for a modest price. You get even native English speaker for less than 100 $.

Really great videos are more expensive of course.
