Making browser history not suck! :)

Hey there!

I am building a little app and I'd love to hear your thoughts on it! You know how trying to find something you've previously read or watched online using your browser history is pretty much impossible? Well, I am on my way to change that :)

I am creating a privacy-first Chrome extension that logs all your website visits and indexes the content on them. For YouTube, it indexes everything that's been said in a video. This allows you to search swiftly for anything you've ever read or heard online.

The extension uses an extremely lightweight open-source language model that caches in your browser. It doesn't just index content by keywords, but by the ideas they convey, making the search experience incredibly efficient. It's so responsive, it updates every time you hit a key!

Your data is stored solely on your device and only takes up a small amount of space.

I've also added some nice touches like showing domains instead of full URLs in search results and using GPT-rewritten page titles instead of the default ones - we all know how some page titles can be long, duplicate domain names, and don't really explain the page content. Now, they are clear and simple to read.

I plan to expand this extension to integrate with Google Drive, making your files there truly searchable too. I'm also considering giving users the ability to add their own files as sources of information to search them blazing fast too.
