"Email Deliverability." It's a term that's both essential and, let's be honest, often intimidating. And it’s crucial for anyone sending emails.
We noticed something while digging into the topic – there’s tons of info out there, but it's often dry, confusing, and scattered. You can find articles on every little aspect. But here's the catch: all those articles, even though they read well and contain details, were useless if people didn't grasp the fundamental difference between email delivery and deliverability. If you can't nail the basics, how can you tackle the complex stuff? And then we realized people needed a different approach.
That's how “Deliverability Deep Dive" was born. We wanted to make learning this complex topic. dare we say… fun? Yes, fun! We wanted to create a course that wasn't just another dry collection of articles, but a fun, engaging learning experience.
We had a wealth of deliverability content, from guides to webinars, but we wanted to give it a fresh, fun spin. After brainstorming, we discovered Google's Notebook LM and wondered: could it truly transform text into seamless, conversational podcasts? We had to find out.
We started experimenting. We took existing articles and content and, with Notebook LM, transformed them into podcast episodes. But we knew we couldn't just rely on AI.
First, we built a clear, step-by-step curriculum. We wanted beginners to start with the fundamentals and gradually move to advanced troubleshooting topics. We focused on creating a learning journey where even beginners could grasp the fundamentals and confidently move to more complex topics.
Once we had our curriculum, the real work began. We used Notebook LM to generate podcast episodes. We transcribed every episode using Restream, then meticulously reviewed each transcript, sentence by sentence. We fact-checked definitions, corrected analogies, and ensured clarity.
We used Wondercraft to refine the audio, edit grammar, verify facts, and ensure a consistent speaker tone. Each episode underwent three rounds of reviews by different team members. We also carefully removed any "hallucinations" – instances where the AI made up information. We focused on keeping the content crisp, accurate, and engaging. No fluff, just the good stuff.
With the course content polished, we needed a home. We chose our Mailmodo Tribe community as the platform for the course, which is hosted on Circle. This enabled us to:
Structure the course into 4 modules with 15 chapters.
Add quizzes after each module to reinforce learning.
Provide a space for learners to ask questions and interact.
Added links to relevant resources and tools.
Apart from this, we not just wanted the audio files. So, we turned each podcast episode into an audiogram with subtitles using the tool Descript and included
The entire process took 45 days. We created 4 modules with 15 chapters. And guess what? We now have over 165 people learning from the course.
The feedback has been amazing! People love the easy, entertaining audio lessons, the practical strategies, and the quizzes.
