Making YouTube videos to get software gigs?

I’m planning to get clients for custom software solutions in my niche and over time seeing the patterns - develop a software product from that.

I’m thinking of making videos on YouTube how I’m coding tools for the clients and hope that it will attract gigs that way.

Are there examples of people doing something similar on YouTube and attracting clients successfully?
