Hello everyone, I'm hoping to discover a platform or hack to offer voice services to my smb clients. Looking to provide features like grasshopper's etc but for multiple accounts. They don't seem to have reseller options.
Easy entry qnd cost effective without having to be a telecom engineer...
Thanks in advance for any ideas.
What is cost effective in your mind?
This is largely dependent on the SMB client's needs.
I freelance in the SMB space (<$10m in revenue). The clients usually have very simple needs that get complicated because they are "oversold," as a result, get frustrated with the expense, and churn.
If you're willing to step into the traditional telecom space, most telecom companies have reseller programs.
Just call them and let them know you are an MSP and you'd like to become a reseller.
Thank you for your note. For these services it be for very small clients. I literally want to over simple features like extensions, forwarding, v-text, VM, etc such as grasshopper. Cost effective being around $20/mo an account but ability to manage multiple accounts . thx
Anytime -- most software and managed voice services charge per seat or per line. I'm not certain you'd be able to get that low -- it sounds like you're looking for a lot of functionality.
For example:
-Home voice lines typically cost as little as $10 / month
-Business voice lines and VOIP solutions are typically ~$20 / user / month (Google Voice for Business, eVoice). And generally you're paying for increased support and functionality.
-Solutions from a telecom provider are going to be $40+ / month and you pay per seat, or IVR endpoint at an SMB sized company (not enterprise).
If you're looking to save on cost, without developing anything, it's about optimizing the SMB process to reduce the number of seats / lines. Ex: Instead of having an separate option for sales, and a separate option for service, combine them into sales and service.
As far as getting a take from a reseller agreement, it's all about explaining you're going to bring in volume and getting to the right person for the provider.
Good luck!
