Management software for private practices/small business (like dentists, therapists, hair salons)

I've been thinking about building a Saas that helps independent profesionals manage their private practice. I think it's one of the most straight forward ideas for a Saas. I'm wondering if anybody has any experience with this type of product that can share with me.

I'm thinking about building the product for a specific profession. I have a friend with a private practice with whom I could build the first iteration and polish the product before looking for other customers.

What I think a product like this could include is :

• Appointment management
• Income/expense tracking
• Tools for CRM ( tracking of adquisition channel, follow up of clients who missed appointments)
• Inventory management

I also think that modern business can really benefit from automations like whats app messaging for appointments and the like. That would be something to explore more.
