Marketer looking for a partner.
Hi everyone,
My name is Rémi, I'm 20 years old, I'm doing a lot of digital marketing for more than 3 years now (for e-commerce, crypto projects and now SaaS).
At the moment I do a lot of no code (for mvp).
I have a lot of things to build, that's why I'm looking for a dev to partner with. I made the mistake of partnering with devs on a few projects who never kept their word and were never really involved in the projects.
That's why I'm looking to partner with a dev to build all our projects together - for the long term collaboration.
I manage the marketing part, and you the development part.
- Be in your 20's.
- Be really involved in the projects.
- Have a relatively good level in dev.
- Be aware of the risks, it's not because I do marketing that I can sell anything and everything. Not all projects are going to be a success (that's logical but I prefer to say it).
- Language: French or English.
My goal: Find someone motivated, with whom I get along well to take our projects to the moon.
I currently live in Dubai, I plan to move to SF (Palo Alto) in 6-7 months. So if you're in the area it's a huge + (I have an office in Dubai).

As @pterovn said, very hard to have a good tech dev fall in your lap. They are either too busy, have their own side-hustles going on, or charge too much - in either case, they will not be as committed to your business as you are.
You seem to already know no code dev. Just develop the product yourself, get market traction and start making money. All as a solo. Then find quality dev who will iterate the next version of your product for money. Only then seek a long term equity partner - from a position of strength.
If you really want someone earlier than that, start networking more. Let people know you, see your passion, discuss ideas with you. Develop that relationship first and then see if they might enjoy working with you, and you with them. In the meanwhile, keep developing on your own.

Sorry to hear that REMI i think its because its too hard to find good dev that have time to partner up , they all have either full time jobs or side projects , but if you already have an idea of a saas project we can help you

Sorry to hear you had some problems with dev's, but that is a common problem with non technical people that have no one around them to get good technical advice from, plus crypto projects usually attract the wrong kind of developers.
consider this:
"Be really involved in the projects'' - you probably (based on experience) expect the wrong thing by "involved", I may be wrong, but if you expect someone to be excited as you are about a project you will be disappointed, even if they look exited it is about different thing than you. Tech people will not see the potential in a project the same way as you do as you both are looking at it from very different perspectives. And don't forget, dev's (especially the good ones) get offers from software companies all the time even if they do not look actively, so you are competing with companies that have way more money than you so you can't be surprised if a dev leaves a 0 paying project for a good stable salary.
"Have a relatively good level in dev" - that will be difficult to achieve because of your other requirement "Be in your 20's", people that your are usually in the beginning of their career and are more likely to be bad, even if they have build things, they have done it in a company with a team and have no idea what is actually involve to design, build and deliver fit for purpose software. Also, you will not be able to recognize "good" from a "bad" developer, the unfortunate truth is that only good developers can recognize other good developers.
The above is the usual state of things, there are always expectations and you may get lucky :)
I never managed to find a good marketing person that can prove they can deliver the things they are promising, if you think you can, I will be happy to hear you out if you what to go after proven business sectors (that does not include NFT’s) with achievable monetization strategy. Keep in mind I’m most definitely not in my 20’s, contacts in my profile
It's a good thing that not all developers go to work for big companies to get a bigger salary... You also have to take risks to create great things.
Of course I could recruit developers directly, but for the moment I don't share this vision. I would like to have a technical profile by my side, even if it means recruiting good profiles later on.
When you say "can deliver the things they are promising" what do you mean by that? A marketer who makes promises is not an honest marketer... Nobody can promise profitability or results. But a good marketer can promise the most optimized testing strategy possible, with precise achievement tasks.
How I work: MVP > Market testing > Validation or not > Product optimization > Scaling.
Have you ever considered joining a project created by a developer instead of searching for someone to build one for you? Lots of developers are already passionate about their projects, some have little traction but with a marketer, it could get way better. But I understand that you only want to build something YOU want, you are young so you can make lots of mistakes.
The probability to convince a good dev to join you is very low, you'll only find students and poor-quality devs because they want to join your project to exercise and show that in an interview with another company.
If you want to find a good developer join his project and handle the market for him. If his project didn't work you can build a project together if he wants to. This would be the best way to get a good dev.
