Hi everybody,
The biggest mistake SaaS developers make is neglecting marketing. I'll share with you here some tips to develop your SaaS without too much budget.
First of all, don't create a SaaS without doing a market analysis! If your product is more or less similar to 200 others on the market, there is a problem.
Second advice: Find your market before building your SaaS and come up with an MVP that you can present to your target market/audience as soon as possible.
Some essential tools:
Scraping: Scrape emails, auto-send messages on networks. You can set up an auto scraper on Phantom Buster. For your cold traffic you can use videos presenting your SaaS (you can use Loom), explain why it should absolutely for their business.
Twitter: Twitter is also very neglected and yet very powerful. Today you can build audiences quite easily by making threads targeted on a specific community (You have a SaaS targeted on e-commerce, build an audience by making e-commerce threads).
Linkedin : Scraping and auto-contact on Linkedin. You can also get a lot of customers quickly. (Phantom Buster or other).
Facebook ads, google ads, Instagram, linkedin ads etc: Advertising platforms are your friends! Do A/B testing on your ads, install analytics on your landing with UTM links.
Affiliate program: It is very important to set up an affiliate system on your SaaS, a lot of developers don't do it and it is a big loss of earnings! Do not hesitate to pay high commissions at the beginning. The more people you bring in the better.
Influence marketing: Contact influential people in your target market. Give them commission links and free access to your product. If your product is good, they will talk about it and get commissions on the sales they generate. It's Win Win!
Reddit, facebook and forums of all kinds: Talk about your product on targeted groups. To start testing an idea / an MVP, this is a technique that works quite well and is very quick to implement.
Don't bother developing your SEO for an MVP, it's not necessary. Test your product directly on the market, observe the reactions and improve your product afterwards.

Thanks for the tip!
This is so valuable. The thing I'm still figuring out is the twitter game. May you please elaborate more on that? I bootstrapped my SaaS, your tips can make a difference for me.
Yes, I'll probably talk about it in a future thread. It's a very powerful technique that I use a lot for agencies and crypto projects (dapp or NFTs). For some SaaS it could be really powerful too.
Great advice! For Twitter, do you have run ads for these audiences? Thanks!
No, you have very powerful organic strategies so no need for ads. If you liked the post don't hesitate to like! Thanks
Thanks for the tip! I'm a new member and it says I cannot Upvote yet. Need to make more interactions. I'll like it when I can :)
I agree about organic traffic being more valuable than paid traffic. What do you think about running an ad on twitter to get the ball rolling when you launch?
Twitter advertising is really not optimized. The best way to boost your launch is to simply ask influential people in your market to RT you / make a post for you in exchange of money or an affiliate link.
