I am hitting a bit of a wall and would love to hear if anyone had a similar experience or not.
To give you a bit of context, I am currently working on a marketplace that would allow tour guides to create and sell self-guided tours. My issue is with payment and the Apple Store.
Because I am selling digital goods consumed inside the app (namely self-guided tours), I have to go through in-app purchases. Unfortunately, you need to create "products" within the Apple Store Connect with unique ids and their prices (obviously, not ideal).
Has anyone else launched marketplaces in App Stores and how did you solve that issue?
I've helped build a few platforms build similar products. I'd definitely recommend moving the credit card form/purchase outside of the app (i.e. on a web-page). It's much easier to launch and scale, especially if you are looking to give tour guides a % of each sale of the tours they create.

Wouldn’t that be violating apple’s terms? I read that they will reject apps that have links to external purchasing pages.
In theory, it's not working regarding the iOS rules. If you are selling something via an app, you have to use the inApp purchase or payment for iOS. That's why many app are now available outside the store (netflix....)
All depends of the guy who review the app....but in most of case, you won't be able to that
I have been reading up about Netflix’s case along with Spotify and kindle who all had to move their purchasing flow outside the app. It has an extra layer of complexity but it is an option.
