MedCheck Update: Now You Can Scan and Understand Your Lab Reports

I'm excited to share a major update to MedCheck, the free web app designed to make health information more accessible and easier to understand.

Since its launch, MedCheck has offered two core tools:

  • MedScan: This feature analyzes medications, supplements, and skincare products. By uploading a photo of the packaging, you get a detailed breakdown of ingredients, uses, dosage instructions, and potential side effects, all grounded in verified web sources.

  • FoodScan: This tool acts as a nutritional report card for your food. After uploading a photo of a meal or snack, it gets a grade from A to E, highlighting the good (like high protein) and the considerations (like high sugar) while suggesting healthier alternatives.

Today, I'm thrilled to launch our most requested feature: Lab Report Scan.

Ever received a lab report and felt overwhelmed by the numbers and medical jargon? The Lab Report Scan is designed to help. You can now upload a photo or PDF of your lab report, such as a blood test or lipid panel. The system provides a detailed, easy-to-understand interpretation. It intelligently groups related results (like your cholesterol numbers), explains what they might mean in context, and offers educational insights to help you have a more informed conversation with your doctor.

Just like all features on MedCheck, the Lab Report Scan is completely free, requires no sign-up, and works directly in your browser. My goal is to empower everyone with the tools to better understand their health.
