Meet Deepengine: affordable, automated pentesting for SMBs

Hey guys, excited to finally share our cybersecurity platform story with the Indiehackers community.

How it all started...

Back in 2023, as our Cloud infrastructure kept on growing along with our customer base and accountability, we realized we needed that additional security layer to accelerate our business forward, secure our business and customers, as well as solve compliance (of course).

So after checking into available options, many of them were either expensive, not fitting our requirements, or simply a pain to manage – quite the similar challenges faced by many other small orgs. On the other hand, hiring manual pentesters for regular interventions would completely kill our budget...

So what options we had left? Right, to get our own hands dirty.

Having some free time, resource, and being full of enthusiasm we ventured into building our own Vulnerability scanning tool. Once our initial app started finding us threats – we saw so much potential in it. What started as a basic tool capable of scanning only external IP addresses turned into a complete platform we called Deepengine.

Our team set a clear mission, and it's a tough one: to democratize the security for Small to Medium orgs that often give up on it thinking it's either too complex, expensive, or "it's not the right time for security".

So what is Deepengine, and what does it do?

Deepengine helps growing tech teams find and remediate vulnerabilities before attackers exploit them. We've eliminated the conventional barriers of cybersecurity like steep learning curves, complex implementations, or enterprise pricing. All it takes is a sign-up, and you can scan one free target once per month.
