    Last-mile delivery is a great example of why sustainability needs to be approached as a systems problem.

    It is not only about using electric vehicles or optimizing delivery routes. The bigger picture includes delivery density, failed deliveries, packaging, warehouse locations, customer behavior, and how infrastructure is designed around these flows.

    What I find especially interesting is the potential to reduce environmental impact while also making the logistics system more efficient. When sustainability and operational efficiency reinforce each other, the solution has a much better chance of lasting.

    I’d be curious to know which part of the last-mile system has the greatest potential for improvement today.
