memcard #2 - Authentication

First post is #2 b/c I started the day before yesterday but made this account today.

Spent yesterday adding user authentication. Lots of overhead but I now have a ngrx compliant way of doing auth. Pretty happy where it is at. I need to add some tests but that has been phased out to another issue. Firebase made this whole thing soooo much easier!

Today I'm going to start working on payments with Stripe as I'm developing auth and payments before the core application (easier to not retroactively add it later). I don't think I'll finish today as I have a tech interview to study for 😭.

I've been really curious about email link authentication. It seems like a good idea, but I also feel like it might get annoying if you had to regularly log in that way.

I'm not yet sure how much control I have over Firebase's token expiration but the idea is to almost never expire it. Especially since I eventually want to make a desktop/mobile app from this. Notion has the same auth method so hopefully it's not an issue.

Woah, didn't know they switched. Thanks for the heads up. Going to revisit this closer to launch. Just trying to avoid anything that isn't 100% needed due to me trying to MVP this in 2 weeks.

        Yea, that sounds about right.
