Hey Indiehackers,
Couple of months back, we built What to Meme, a meme library for startup founders and indiehackers.
We launched it on Product Hunt and it was loved by the community.
Now, we are planning to launch a productized service for memes, where we will create 5 personalized memes for your startup for $29.
You can use those memes for
Examples:

What do you think of this idea? Will you book a service like this?
Let me know in the comments
PS: Checkout the landing page for more details
Are you using GenAI to create new Memes?
No, we will create memes on our own
It could be a good idea but there are actually free tools on the internet to make static or animated memes right now. You'll have to focus on the market who don't or can't use these tools. Or don't have time to. Right ?
We are pitching a done for your service. We will research your startup, understand the audience and create memes.
If meme marketing does indeed work, I think this is a good idea. Agree with the commenters that it’s probably not appropriate to all industries…I’d imagine tech is one where it would work? That said it might be a fad as I’ve seen lots of meme adverts on Reddit lately.
Makes sense. Understood that solopreneur niche might not be the right audience for meme marketing
Honestly I don't know.... Do people usually pay for memes?
Can it save them time or make them more money? Why would they use your service instead of the others out there?. How many people need to buy before you're profitable?
Those are a few questions you have to answer
We came across meme marketing that charges $100s of dollars for making memes for startups.
We felt meme service can be a value addition for What to Meme. And since "What to meme" main audience is indie hackers and solopreneurs, we wanted to test the idea.
There is no profitable goal here, Since we love doing memes, we wanted to help others.
Damn, I didn't know its possible to charge that much...
Since it's an add-on then no problem..
.
Please make an update on your results.
is it scalable? like can you make unique memes everyday?
Yeah, it is scalable.
Since every startup solves different problems we can unique memes for every startup.
I get it now!
I like the landing page and Meme are always a much more engaging method of outreach but you need to evaluate what differentiates your offer from what is available on Fivrr etc.?
Since we are founders and marketers ourselves, we can understand the audience better and create memes that are more relatable to the startup and its audience.
I think it's a good idea for content creators in corporate companies who needs memes in the mix (I'm one of those people). Limited revisions might doubt me whether you will get the first few times but the cost is pretty low so, I think you will do great :)
I think you got some heads up so best of luck 🤞
Yes I think memes as a service is really good idea as these days as brands really understand the power of meme marketing so if one can build good memes then definitely meme as service is a good service
Good for posting on Twitter and get some impressions?
Yeah, memes will do good on twitter. You can boost your impressions.
I'm sure some people would buy but not for me - meme accounts can be funny at first but they don't give any real value on social media.
We are not pitching a meme account, we are pitching memes that startups can use now and then to promote their product.
I donn't really think this would be taking off, for individuals this is expensive and companies would probably choose a more established marketing service
Thanks for the suggestion.
Hmm interesting idea, however, I can easily see it going dry after the first initial launch. Maybe I am wrong, if you decide to go with the idea, good luck!
Thanks man, we are also validating right now.
Guys, how can I post on this site? I always get Permission denied, is there something I need to do?
I guess there is a market for that but I am not sure how big it is. Memes are great but also not for every target audience.
Companies that use memes, usually have someone in marketing that can do it, and let's be honest, it is one of their favorite activities to do :D not sure if they are willing to outsource that.
And companies that don't use memes might not think about the need for it. So then you would need some heavy outbound work to get them convinced.
love the what the meme btw
Makes sense, we will look into the meme marketing agencies and check how they are getting leads.
