I have read many articles which says that mental health issues are arising due to this pandemic situation. So, I was wondering is this a good time to create a mental health related app? I know there are already big players in the market but most of them either charge big monthly fees or they have limited or few features and besides I have few good features in mind which nobody else has implemented yet(atleast that's what I think).
I'm an android app developer so, yes I can build this app but I was just trying to validate my idea.
Hello! I think it would be an excellent idea. Many people struggling with mental health cannot do anything about it because they can't afford it. Also, the pandemic has worsened the situation. Therefore, I think you should give it a try. While we are on the subject of health, I wanted to share a website with you. I stumbled across it by chance, but I found it fascinating. It talks about bio-identical hormone replacement therapy. I did not know something like that was available. You should check out https://www.xcellr8.health/bioidentical-hormone-replacement-therapy/; maybe you can get inspiration for your app.
Thanks man.
What kind of app would it be? If you give mental health advice, are you qualified to do so? Also, consider the longevity of your app: how long after the pandemic will it be used? (Silly example: are you offering ideas on how to use your lockdown home time, o how to cope with the long-term effect of isolation?)
I'm not giving any mental health advice and yes I'm thinking of it as it will be used even after the pandemic.
I was thinking to add features like public board where a weekly task lists will be given like sing a song, cook a recipe etc, write a journal, send virtual hugs to anyone(this feature needs a lot of work but I think users are gonna love this one) and ofcourse meditation and music etc.
There are a lot of apps but a lot more space:. See this article:https://news.crunchbase.com/news/women-in-mental-health-founders-discuss-how-they-are-shaping-the-industry/?utm_source=cb_daily&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=20210527&utm_content=intro&utm_term=content
Yes I know there are already lots of apps but either they have costly subscription plans or limited features. I have already tried many apps and websites.
