Merchant of Record for online Marketplace

I'm new here. It's my first post and I'm excited to be apart of this community :).
Anyways, I'm building an online marketplace and one of the major problems I've recently encountered is global sales tax. Currently I'm using Stripe, but as many of you know, they don't handle Sales Tax. I was contemplating using Quaderno, Avalara, or Octobat to calculate taxes for me. Although they seem great they only solve part of the problem. I would still need to register in each country I do business and also find accountants to handle filing which sounds like a logistical and financial nightmare.

I came across the term "Merchant of Record" and found 3 companies: Paddle, FastSpring, and 2Checkout with Paddle being the most recommended. Although Paddle seems great on the surface, it doesn't seem to have good support for marketplaces. It seems like Paddle is focused on selling a small number of products or subscriptions.

I tried using Paddle's chat system and no one has responded in over an hour so I'm heavily concerned about their support as well. Not to mention that their API is very limited and doesn't have nearly the same flexibility as Stripe.

Do I have no choice but to handle the Sales Tax nightmare myself? Or is there some way to make it easier?
