It wasn't so long ago that we could go several days without any new users turning up, regardless of our marketing efforts, but today it occurred to me that the inverse was now true - I now wasn't sure when we'd last gone a day without new users joining Squeaky. I checked, and we're currently on a 38-day unbroken streak of adding new users!
Aside from finding that super exciting for us, I also think it's actually an awesome metric and I'm going to build a little chart for it in our admin dashboard 📈...might try and add it as a metric our customers can track in their own apps too.
Is it just me, or do you not see signup or engagement 'streaks' as a metric? I think that could be really fascinating to track and evaluated, like what streak represents the critical mass required for an organic referrals engine, or to feel confident you're moving towards product-market-fit etc (I appreciate it would have to me measured in conjunction with other metrics like activation and engagement, conversion to paid etc).
