Hi everyone,
I have an idea for a micro saas product. A product doesn't seem new, it's more like a niche.
That is building a form builder combined with an electronic signature (E-Sign).
About the form builder it is like other products (Google Form, Type Form,...) but will have some more advanced features:
Regarding the E-Sign, it will be similar to DocuSign.
And finally, combine Form builder with ESign through the document merge feature:
From Form -> Response -> Document merge -> PDF -> E-Sign.
Main use cases:
I have been writing a lot of stuff around Micro SaaS and wrote about form builders too and related products too.
Not sure what do you mean by if its possible? Are you asking if anyone has built this or is this technically possible?
ConvertCalculator has this at https://www.convertcalculator.com/help/elements/signature-question/
They also have API to generate the PDFs etc as you need with merging.
Oh, I mean "Is it possible to succeed?"
Market is crowded but still has scope. See products like APITemplateio started 1-2 years before and making revenues.
Tally Forms started when the market was so crowded and crosses $10K MRR in less than 2 years. So, yeah market is crowded but you can still pivot and niche down further and see. You can also checkout Micro SaaS Ideas to experiment more.
I personally love the opportunity around e-signature products. I think it's at the intersection of three increasingly important areas:
If you think ahead 5-10 years, documents will only become more digital as remote work becomes more widely accepted. With that, trust will continue to be more and more important as companies begin to hire remote employees that they may never meet in person. That decentralized trust is exactly where blockchains are intended to shine. Having an immutable record of when a document was signed is powerful because the information continues to work externally to your application storing that information.
This is obviously a broader idea than a simple MVP version, but I just wanted to share why the idea has interested me in the past. Speaking of which, I do own the domain esigner.co if you're interested. I'm willing to work out a deal if you want to DM me.
If you wish to find out whether the product will work or not then you need to
As to the technical aspect of it, yes it can be built. But before writing any line of code, I'd suggest get your hand dirty to know more about the idea you are working on!
good advice.
