Will it kill Hotjar?

Clarity is solid for a free tool, but it's still a separate dashboard from your traffic analytics. I wanted everything in one place, which is why I built Zenovay — session replay, heatmaps, AND traffic analytics, AI insights, conversion funnels, error logs. All one dashboard. The context-switching between Clarity and GA4 was what killed my workflow.

Been trying it out with Reslant.com, it's pretty great and best part is that it's free

I've used it on several projects. Does the job. Another alternative is Yandex which also has free heatmaps and screen recordings.

Ohh wow I missed that too. Thanks Darko.

Not sure if it will kill hotjar et. al., but if you are a Microsoft shop (using Office 365, enterprise-y, etc.) you now have one reason more not to use anything else.

Thanks Jan. I only use their outlook :)

We've been using it for a year now, it's incredible how fast they've been adding new features.

Haven't tried Hotjar but for us, was an Inspectlet killer. I used to love Inspectlet but Clarity make almost the same things for free.

Thanks Fabri for sharing that. I'll roll it out for https://recocards.com over the weekend.

It has certainly done for us on the web, although, we are still dependent on hotjar for our mobile apps.

So, here are my initial impressions:

        Shows:

        • Dashboard (where users came from, countries, # of visitors)
        • Recordings
        • Heatmaps

For recordings, my website seemed broken, seemed like basic HTML. Overall meh.

Couldn't tell you much about heatmaps because not a lot of places to click on my website.

For me I mainly wanted to see where ppl came from, countries and # of users so for that it serves its purpose well.

That's very interesting, thanks for sharing!

Interesting, I've never seen it before. Has it been around for long?

Yeah seems like it was in alpha/beta for a long time, before getting released in GA mid 2021.
