Microteams

Hey IE Community,

I’ve brought on some people in my business to help me and thought other hackers wouldn’t mind having a microteam.

It’s amazing since today I believe many companies with 1-3 founder teams could have microteams around them and wouldn’t need any additional employees if they hire a few key people to support the business.

I’m working on an idea that will help indiehackers and business owners work with curated experts in areas they don’t have strengths in without hiring them as employees.

Think of Toptal where you work with people on a weekly/monthly basis but the costs are way lower and non development services. We wouldn’t focus on development services more on marketing, content, design and business focused services.

I’m working on curating a group of people and experts based on different business needs that would be pre-vetted. It would eliminate the need of hiring any employees and I’d provide someone to manage the contractors.

I’m curious if anyone would be open to having microteammates vs just using random contractors or teams?

What do you think of the idea?

What would you pay have access to your own marketer? Content writer? Designer? Press person? Sales person? Etc for a few hours a month.

Please leave a comment with feedback or thoughts. If you’re interested let me know I’d love to connect for more feedback.

Thanks!

I assume your business is more a service company with a pool of curated freelancers.

I would be interested in some service, as long as your fee is competitive and the PM fee is included and not extra.

Hey @net2tim Yes it is. Before we build out some of the tech to help manage the day to day work between clients and freelancers we want to get some better use cases what would help a client not have to worry about managing them. Email me at justinfharris@me.com and i'd love to connect.
