Building a relocation product right now is super exciting — we get to leverage AI for structure, speed, and automation. But at the same time, we learned the hard way: when it comes to visas, you can’t rely on AI alone. The risk is just too high. That’s why in Migroot 2.0 (beta) we kept a balance — smart AI-powered checklists + real human experts when you actually need them.
What’s new in 2.0:
Manage your tasks without waiting for an expert
Export your full document set to Google Drive (great for translators)
Guides are now built directly into each task (no more endless scrolling)
We’d love for you to give it a spin — especially if you’re planning a move abroad soon.
For Indie Hackers: we’ll do a special offer, and if you’ve got an interesting relocation case, we’re happy to onboard you for free.
Would love your feedback — what balance between AI and human support are you exploring in your products?
Thoughtful changes. I'm curious as to why you can't rely on AI entirely when it comes to visa. Even if I am in a different industry, I was thinking too about a concierge aproach where I don't rely entirely on AI. But you've made me curious. Looking forward to hearing back from you and congrats!
What has been your biggest roadblock to achieve success at the moment?
This sounds like a really thoughtful approach 👏. I think the balance you’ve taken makes a lot of sense — AI is amazing for structure and speed, but for high-risk areas (like visas or compliance), human expertise is irreplaceable.
I really like the Google Drive export feature too — that feels super practical for anyone dealing with translations and multiple stakeholders.
In my own projects, I’ve noticed that users feel most confident when they see AI + a clear path to talk to a human if needed. So I’d say you’re on the right track with Migroot 2.0. Excited to see how people respond once they test it out!
Yeah I agree with you human expertise is irreplaceable, what has been your biggest roadblock to achieve success at the moment?
Thank you so much for such warm and thoughtful feedback! If you’d like to join the testing, just drop me an email at [email protected] — I’d love to have you on board.
Really like how you combined AI checklists with real human expertise, that’s such a practical balance, especially for something as critical as visas and relocation.
Curious: which part of the process turned out to need human input the most (documents, legal checks, country-specific rules)?
What do you think is your biggest roadblock to achieve success at the moment?
Good question — right now the biggest roadblock is getting consistent early users to stress-test the product. Once I have that feedback loop solid, I know things will accelerate.
That makes a lot of sense getting consistent early users is one of the hardest but most important steps. A solid feedback loop really does change everything.
If you’d like, I know an expert who specializes in helping founders at exactly this stage refining their audience and building those first repeatable user acquisition systems. I can connect you if you’re interested, no pressure.
Either way, I’m rooting for you once those first users start giving feedback regularly, things will definitely accelerate
I’d definitely be interested in that connection 🙌
Getting early users into a consistent feedback loop is exactly where I’m focusing right now with Kaelis. Happy to connect and learn from people who’ve helped founders at this stage.
