Hello, this may sound weak, but I have to ask. How do indiehackers get over flopping and continue pushing until you find a way to sell your product? After a failed interest-gauging test last week, I just fell into a slump. I haven't worked on my product for a couple of days and feel so guilty. Yesterday, I got sick and felt relieved from the guilt of not working.
Make some minor changes to the product and get excited about it! Are you approaching prospects in the wrong way? Is there something about your product that you think could be improved, removed or added? Hit the refresh button and come back strong with something just a bit different that gets you excited to move forward.
Thanks for the advice! :)
Keep seeking inspiration & motivation. Read and see what other people are doing to inspire you. Read a success story, listen to a podcast. It's tough, but building a business is a marathon, not a sprint. Not even a month marathon but years of endless effort. Once in a while we come across the story of someone who built something in a few months and made tons of money. Those are the lottery winners/outliers, not the norm.
You should never ever put pressure on yourself with these things, they're opportunity for you to learn from and move forward - even if it doesn't seem like it in the moment! :)
It's okay to feel down about it, but when you step back and look at it objectively, what are your learnings from this test - beyond your self perceived idea of failing? What patterns could you see? This should help you figure out what to do next, whether with this project or a future project. Without knowing it you're gaining experience :D

Thank you, man! This means a lot to me 🙏
