Minimal landing page and mailing list setup?
I have my prototype and now I am working on my landing page and a mailing list. I think I'll be launching beta in 3~4 months.
I can serve the landing page as a client-only static site, but not sure how to make the mailing list work.
What's the minimal setup for the mailing list? Should I use an email service like Mailgun or AWS SES from the start, or can I just create a database server and update the database with email every time someone signs up?
I guess these need to be done from the server. Does this mean I can't serve the landing page as a static site using CDN? Should I use serverless function like AWS lambda to register the email in the database?
What's the simplest, most minimal setup for a landing page with a mailing list?
I am in the same stage as well... I found a website called buttondown - I think it's an indie product. It looks super minimalistic and easy to use so I might go with that.
