Missing some critical features from social media platforms because I don't live in the US

Hello fellow indie hackers,
I have a big question for those who don't live in US and want to reach people from the US for marketing. How are you using your social media?

Unfortunately, because I live in Greece, there are missing features on every platform. For example, my Instagram doesn't have Instagram Reels 🤷‍♂️, TikTok's algorithm shows my videos to people that live in my country and etc.

I AM NOT talking about paid ads, when you make an ad you can target exactly the people you want, I know this. I want to first try to reach people with organic marketing.

If VPNs don't work, go higher level and try residential or 3G/4G proxies.

I really wish there was a convenient way to do this though, something like: log in to a web interface and access your account as-in you were from the US.

I really wish too that there was an option like that.
      Thank you for the reply.

1️⃣ Run the vpn on the required country before uploading the video to the required platform .

2️⃣ Put trend hashtags in the target country, especially the hashtag of the name of the country in addition to the state if you want customers from it .

3️⃣ Publish at peak times of the target country to get the best results .

If you need any help or questions, feel free to message me .

I feel your pain here in the Caribbean!

VPNs haven't worked for me for accessing social media features that aren't released in my location like Reels (we just officially got access this year).

If you're not interested in marketing to people locally at all, I've found that by only following and engaging with US/Canada/etc accounts, those are the types of accounts my content is shared with and that's what comes up in my feed.

I was thinking of using a VPN too, but if there is another better solution would be even better.
      Thank you for the reply.
Probably I will go with VPN tho.

Yup. I think in this case, a VPN would be your best option unfortunately.
