Mobile app backend [SURVEY]

Hi guys!
I am trying to figure out whether or not to go forward with an idea I have for a mobile backend product (MBAAS), and it would be great if you had 2-3 minutes to fill out this quick survey I made:

Thank you!

Best regards, Casper

Thanks for creating such an informative questionnaire Casper. I would like to answer all of these questions here for a better understanding of the community.

First of all, if I answer the initial question, the use of backend or mobile backend services has been rapidly increasing among the development community. It is fast and cheap to build the server-side of mobile applications with such platforms. I have personally tried Firebase, AWS Amplify and Back4App in this regard and found their interface very easy to deal with. This detailed article https://blog.back4app.com/how-to-build-a-backend-for-a-mobile-app/ can also assist you if you want to understand how MBaaS or backend services help in the server-side creation of mobile applications.

Secondly, I believe backend solutions are definitely fulfilling our development needs but I prefer open-source and easy-to-migrate platforms hereof.

Moreover, I consider all of the factors including scalability, stability, payment integration, easy deployment and real-time database support while choosing a backend service.

The only challenges that I faced with the backend platform 'Firebase' are vendor lock-in and its closed-source nature.

Some solutions come with a free-tier approach like Back4App or Spark Plan of Firebase. The further charges depending on your requirements. Luckily, the majority of MBaaS platforms offer pay-as-you-go pricing offers.
