    EPIC

    By end of May

Finish the Phoenix Starter Pack documentation. Raise prices.

    TODAY

    • Announce my latest product "Phoenix Starter Pack" on IH and elsewhere.
    • Explore new themes I can add to the starter pack.

    YESTERDAY

    • finished the first version of the starter pack
    • deployed starter pack to www.mizzo.dev

KUDOS: Will do - waiting for more posts

    1. 2

Like the idea, would be great to see some of it in action on the homepage.
Glad you jumped into the launch feet first. That's the way to go.

Do you have a work-in-progress documentation page you could share?

      1. 1

I have started on the documentation and it is available in the demo.

For better or worse I have the demo behind a login because it felt like an easier way to capture emails of people who would be interested. Yet to be seen if this is a good idea.

I should work on the landing page and showcase more of what you get with the starter pack for sure.

        1. 1

I'd be interested to know how that works...devs are notorious for wanting to documentation essentially for free.

Maybe you could try both for a time and see how the numbers compare.

In some sense, documentation (or at least some "getting started " basics and not the full documentation) can qualify as marketing material for devs. It's a chance to show your audience how simple it is to get running and just how much time might be saved.

I'm not an elixir dev but it looks easy enough and fast.

    2. 2

Hi Mizzo! What's the core language of Phoenix? node.js? php? Couldn't see it on the landing page

      1. 4

Hey - it is Elixir, a very cool language based on Erlang ( https://elixir-lang.org/ )

I will make it more obvious on the frontpage and give more info about it!

I dig the concept. I'd bet there's a solid market for that.

I'm not the target audience but I'm curious if you have a particular framework you're building on to put your course together. And how you'll be distributing.
