Two more days of the main gig push and then I'm back in the IH game!

    1. 2

We see you on the horizon!

    2. 2

      Woop woop!

  2. 5

    01 Epic
    10 customer conversations (5 / 10 scheduled)

    02 Weekend Accomplishments
    Retooled the blog

    • Hosting using Ghost
    • Https enabled
    • Linked subscribing to my Mailchimp
    • Rewrote existing posts (happy now with the content / quality)
    • Shipped my first IH log!

    03 Accomplishing Today

    • 2nd follow up on outstanding cold emails I sent last week
    • Prepare market / problem validation question set for interviews this week
    • Get first draft done on post about Virtualness & Knowledge

    Other Notes
Woohoo! 5 / 10 customer conversations scheduled is the happy spot I wanted to hit before feeling comfortable working on an MVP. I'm going to run the interviews this week and use the feedback to inform a v0.1.

I'm also holding off on cold emailing other ~70ish companies on my lead list until I have some wireframes to share. I think it'll be beneficial for me to stage this so that I can iterate on the idea. PLUS, I'll be on a road trip starting mid-next week so from a life perspective it makes sense to pump the brakes on new outreach for now.

Hey when you hit the first link on https://www.blog.getspectre.com/ it takes you to an Ec2 link which doesn't have the correct cert installed. Looks good otherwise!

      1. 1

        Awesome, thanks for catching that!

    2. 2

Nice on all of that :)

  3. 4

    01 Epic

Try and generate more conversations and feedback from users. Even if they aren't paying, I need more advice and information from others than myself on what the product wants.

    02 Yesterday

Got billing working and successfully tested it with myself!

    03 Today

Putting cloudcosts.io on Hacker News and writing one blog post hopefully.

    1. 1

Cool idea. Good luck w/ HN!

countdown is on for my last day of work...too much work, not enough time. Beginning to regret this whole thing where I agree to not leave my old team high and dry but I also don't postpone client work.

    SINCE LAST UPDATE:

    • spiked a bug fix being experienced in the backend on threadbase.io
    • pounded out some big bug fixes and enhancements for client project on Saturday
    • got drunk while troubleshooting a bug and building some functionality on another client project on Sunday

    TODAY:

    • get client product updates deployed to azure for testing
    • try to fix one item for next milestone on Education SaaS for client
    • poke around to see if I can't improve some functionality in a Clarizen integration for another client.

    KUDOS:
    pending...unless I pass out first

    1. 1

Today: Finished deploying new backend for Naminator with improved name generation algorithm.. but its probably be broken right now . I'll have to bring the site back online tomorrow.

Tomorrow: Fix any bugs and bring Naminator back online, and do some tweaks to the UI. Then work on mockups for the pricing / upgrade screens.
